Hey, there. Welcome to my shop! My name is Patricia Canning and I'm an East Coast transplant living on the West Coast of Canada in Edmonton, Alberta. I'm all about female empowerment and support to embrace our age, our experience and the power we all can finally feel in our lives. I also hate all stereotypes about being female and especially an older female.

Let's stand together for female empowerment, embracing our age (whatever that is 30, 50, 60, or 80) and kicking all those female stereotypes to the curb. Society has us convinced our worth is somehow tied to our appearance, and so that worth diminishes as we age. Well I say that's bullshit! That's the beauty industry making money on our insecurities. Let's stop that now!

I've worked my whole life to be this age, in this space and I want to enjoy it and live my best life.

This passion, and the creation of The Middle Aged Groove really happened by accident. A page to support women to live their best lives evolved into a design studio for empowerment jewellery, clothing and home decor. Every piece is designed by me and the collection theme names are from my life.

I love to wear the attitude that has taken me years to cultivate. I hope my pieces will add a little bit of fun and strength into your life, too. We are so much stronger together.
