BEAUTIFUL OLD BAT

Because we live in a "youth" oriented society, as older women we tend to feel like we disappear a little. Often, our worth is equal to how we look. This is just so ridiculous to me. I refuse to be ignored because I'm no longer "a pretty young thing". Being older is a privilege and we are a force to be reckoned with. A billion dollar beauty industry is making money on ensuring we feel less than as a woman and to judge our worth by our looks. Well if you are pretty - congrats on your face. You got lucky. But we should NEVER be judged on our appearance. Men aren't. I am embracing all the old lady stereotypes and OWNING them. It's taken a lotta work to be able to proudly say I'm a beautiful old bat. Be comfortable in your skin and love who you are RIGHT NOW. We have so much experience and wisdom to share with the those we love.
